In With the New: Fresh Offerings for 2014 at Lake Austin Spa Resort

AUSTIN, Texas (January, 2014) – Each year brings a fresh opportunity to try new things
and embark on new adventures and in 2014, Lake Austin Spa Resort is offering creative experiences to immerse guests in a world of health and wellness on the beautiful shores of
Lake Austin.

New Luxury Lakeview Rooms: Fourteen rooms, located closest to the spa with unobstructed views of serene Lake Austin, now feature custom designed tranquil interiors that bring a heavy dose of casual elegance to the Texas Hill Country. These rooms were re-envisioned by owner Mike McAdams and up and coming interior designer Julio Quinones with hand-selected decor that blends with the soothing and restful ambiance that emanates from the calming waters of Lake Austin.

Personal Chef Instruction: Guests can now book a private or small group session with a personal chef for hands-on culinary instruction to help discover their inner chef by improving technical skills, remodeling recipes, and learning tips and tricks for healthy cooking.

Modern Meditation: Far from the days of sitting in silence in a quiet room, Lake Austin Spa Resort has created unique ways for guests to enjoy the practice of meditation. From “Musical Mediation” classes where songs are played and reflected upon and “Floating Relaxation” conducted in the warm waters of the tranquil Pool Barn, to “Nature Walking Meditations” along the beautiful grounds and Ayurvedic mediations to balance chakras and doshas, meditation comes in many forms and is available as part of the inclusive experience at the resort. A new week-long program offered four times per year called BREATHE, offers an opportunity to unplug and detach from the real world.

Delicious Spa Treatments: Guests can indulge without the calories in new spa treatment offerings such as a Nourishing Avocado Sea Mud Masque, Lakeshore Fig Scrub or the Blueberry Restorative Facial. And if that doesn’t satisfy the need for a health-charged boost, new anti-aging treatments such as the Vitamin C Renewal, Platinum Lift Facial or Renewal Manicure will help guests attain a youthful glow.

Redesigned Dining Room: As if dining lakeside wasn’t already appetizing enough, one of Metropolitan Home Magazine’s Best Young Talents, Julio Quinones collaborated with resort owner Mike McAdams to create a fresh, cheerful palate from which guests enjoy Executive Chef Stephane Beaucamp’s highly acclaimed healthy cuisine. Hues of green and splashes of color, along with custom furnishings provide a cheerful and uplifting backdrop to lakefront dining.

Garden Infused Liqueurs: As part of the celebrated monthly foodie focused Culinary Experience program, Trisha Shirey, the resort’s Director of Flora and Fauna introduces a new class, which explores how gardens are inspiring the latest trend in cocktails, called Adventures in Cocktail Gardening.
