What’s the best way to get to resort from the Airport?

Transportation options to/from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport:

Luxury Vehicle Service

Guests will be greeted at baggage claim by the driver and escorted to the car. Charges are $95.00 plus gratuity per trip for up to 3 people in a luxury vehicle. Limousines and SUV’s are available for an additional charge. Major credit cards and cash are accepted. Reservations are required. Taxi Cab

Taxi cab services are located on the ground floor, exit baggage claim. Major credit cards and cash are accepted.

SuperShuttle

SuperShuttle is a multi-party transportation service. The shuttle may stop for other riders prior to arriving at Lake Austin Spa Resort, so the trip may take up to two hours. SuperShuttle is located on the ground floor, exit baggage claim area #1. The shuttles are blue vans with yellow writing. Rates start at $45. SuperShuttle accepts all major credit cards. Rental Car

Rental cars are available at the airport. All major rental companies are represented. You may contact them directly or through your travel agent.

What if I have to cancel my overnight reservation?

Due to our intimate size, all cancellations affect us significantly.  All guest reservations are subject to our cancellation policy.

A $1000 deposit per person is required at the time of booking to guarantee your reservation.

If you cancel 30 days or more prior to your scheduled arrival, your entire deposit will be refunded.

Deposits for reservations cancelled 15-29 days prior to arrival will be held for one year as a credit toward a new stay booked at the applicable rate.

If a cancellation is made 2-14 days prior to your arrival, you agree that your entire $1000 deposit will be forfeited.

One day prior to your arrival we will automatically collect full payment for the reservation, charged to the credit card provided. You agree that the entire amount will then become non-refundable.

All rates and charges are subject to a 20% service charge, and applicable taxes of 6%.

No refunds will be made for early departure. Changes to arrival and departure dates are considered cancellations and are subject to above cancellation policy.

We highly recommend Travel Insurance to help protect your investment. Please ask your reservation specialist about the two Travel Insurance options we are offering through Travel Guard.

What is the cuisine like?

We hope you will find the food at Lake Austin Spa Resort one of your most pleasant surprises. Seasonal menus offer three fresh, flavorful meals daily that blend global inspiration with local resources. Calorie and fat information is provided on all dishes.

Breakfast Hours: 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.

Lunch Hours: 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Aster Cafe Hours: 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
*The Aster Café is not a public restaurant, only day spa and overnight guests can dine at the Aster Café.

Dinner Hours: 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Hors d’oeuvres are served in the living room each afternoon at 3:00 p.m.

Room Service, snacks and beverages are available throughout the day.

For those traveling alone, we invite you to meet new friends at our Friendship Table.

How do I pay for my visit?

One day prior to your arrival we will automatically collect full payment for the reservation, charged to the credit card provided.  All purchases and services at Lake Austin Spa Resort can be charged directly to your room. Additional purchases such as boutique merchandise, additional spa services, personal instruction sessions, and spa products will be itemized for your review upon check-out. Questions concerning charges should be discussed with Guest Services before departure. We honor Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover credit cards. Personal checks and cash are also accepted in U.S. dollars.

What should I know about Service Charges?

All overnight packages with a Spa and Fitness Allowance include a 20% Service Charge. A 20% Service Charge will be added to all a la carte personal services. Service Charge covers many aspects of your stay including gratuities for personal services. All Service Charges may be charged to your room account.

Is it really important to drink a lot of water after a treatment?

Yes, it is important to stay well-hydrated before and especially after a spa treatment. Most treatments trigger improved circulation and stimulate waste removal from the body. Water can aid in this process and will help alleviate any inflammation, especially after massage therapies. Water will also help restore your energy after spa treatments.

What should I bring?

We offer a variety of movement options throughout the day, so you will need comfortable clothes and shoes. We recommend bringing two pairs of shoes,  both indoor fitness shoes and outdoor trail shoes, as some of our hikes have muddy, slippery and rocky terrains.

  • Bathing Suit and Cover Up. Our three swimming pools are great for swimming laps, aerobic workouts and relaxing
  • Hat and Sunscreen
  • A Good Book. Current magazines and daily newspapers are available, but you might want to bring your selection of leisure reading
What should I leave at home?

Lake Austin Spa Resort is well known for its casual, relaxed atmosphere. This eliminates the need for items you might otherwise feel you need such as dress clothes or jewelry.

Each room is supplied with complimentary amenities, including shampoo, conditioner, bath gel, soap, bath salts and lotion. A hair dryer, alarm clock, umbrella and robe are also in your room for your convenience. Plus size robes are available upon request. Lake Austin Spa Resort provides complimentary spa sandals for your comfort during your visit, and they are yours to take home at the end of your stay.

Complimentary laundry facilities are available for your convenience.

What are the check-in and checkout times?

Check-in time is 4 p.m. CT. Your room will be ready for you by 4 p.m. If you would like to arrive after lunch and begin participating in activities, you are welcome to do so. We will store your bags at the Guest Services desk while you enjoy the activities. Shower and bathroom facilities are available in the LakeHouse Spa until your room is ready.

Check-out time is noon CT. We invite you to enjoy lunch prior to your departure. We will store your bags at Guest Services or assist you in loading them in your car prior to lunch. Box lunches are available with a 12-hour notice if you are unable to join us in the dining room. Please return room keys to Guest Services no later than noon. There is no refund for early departure.

Are children allowed?

Overnight and spa guests of Lake Austin Spa Resort must be 14 years of age or older. Guests between the ages of 14-18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Are laundry facilities available?

A 24-hour complimentary laundry room is located adjacent to Room 27. Detergent is provided. If you prefer, housekeeping will launder your clothing. Please call Guest Services for assistance.

What is the smoking policy?

In the interest of health and well-being, Lake Austin Spa Resort is a non-smoking facility. Smoking is prohibited inside all interior public spaces on the property, including all buildings, guest rooms and in or around the pool area. Smoking is permitted in outdoor, non-public areas only. Any evidence of smoking in guest accommodations will result in a $1,000 fee to deodorize the Lady Bird Suite and a $500 fee for all other guest room types.

Is alcohol provided at Lake Austin Spa Resort?

Lake Austin Spa Resort serves fine wines and assorted beer. Our culinary team has selected a variety of wines and beer that will create an added dimension to our award-winning spa cuisine. Guests are not permitted to bring their own alcoholic beverages into our dining facilities or public areas. However, you may bring alcohol for consumption in your guest rooms. Alcohol is not permitted in the LakeHouse Spa.

Can I bring my pet?

Lake Austin Spa Resort is dog-friendly. A non-refundable $300 pet(s) guest fee is required. Please contact our Reservations Department at (800) 847-5637 for more information about our pet friendly rooms prior to arrival.

Is Lake Austin Spa Resort handicap accessible?

Lake Austin Spa Resort is situated in the Texas Hill Country. The property is a non-contiguous, multi-level design with stairs, ramps and low-grade inclines in select areas. If you have special mobility requirements, please contact us in advance of your stay so that we may address your needs to help make your stay as comfortable as possible.

Are there computers for guests to use?

A public computer is located in the boutique and is available for guest use. In addition, all rooms are equipped with wireless Internet connections.

Can I bring my cell phone?

In order to maintain a relaxing environment for all of our guests, please restrict cell phone use to the privacy of a guest room.

What is our firearms policy?

The safety, security and comfort of our guests are of the utmost importance to us, and our policy on firearms was designed with this in mind. Careful consideration has been given to our policy and to ensuring it is consistent with Texas law. Our premises are a private property and Lake Austin Spa Resort and the LakeHouse Spa prohibits any person from openly carrying any firearm in an unconcealed or concealed manner.
