With Special Guest: Lucinda Scala Quinn
Lucinda is Executive Director of Food and Entertaining at Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia. She appears regularly on NBC’s Today Show, hosted Mad Hungry on the Hallmark Channel, and co-hosted Everyday Food on PBS for six years. Born with a wooden spoon in her mouth, Lucinda has been in the kitchen since she was tall enough (on tip-toes) to reach the counter. She and her three brothers grew up in a half-Italian, half-Irish household that valued good cooking and boisterous family dinners which inspired her to become a chef, cooking teacher, caterer, and cookbook author. All of which came in handy when she started a family of her own. Lucinda and her husband have three grown sons who still come home to eat—even when they’re the ones doing the cooking. A firm believer that food, security, and love are inextricably linked, Lucinda thinks few things are more important (or reliably joyful) than eating with your family, whether it’s fancy fine dining or a fast bowl of tomato soup with golden, crispy grilled cheese sandwiches. She is the author of four cookbooks, including Mad Hungry: Feeding Men & Boys and Mad Hungry Cravings: 173 Recipes for the Food You Want to Eat Right Now.
