Creating and Preserving a Family Legacy
With Special Guest: Marvin Blum
A family’s legacy isn’t always about business or money. A meaningful family legacy is about passing your family’s history, your childhood stories, and your values on to your children and grandchildren. Marvin will share some creative ways to build and preserve a family legacy while strengthening the family bond in the process.
Marvin E. Blum founded The Blum Firm P.C. 35 years ago in Fort Worth and has since expanded the Firm to Dallas, Austin, and Houston, becoming the largest group of estate planning attorneys in the country. Mr. Blum is an attorney and CPA and is Board Certified in Estate Planning & Probate Law. New York’s Worth magazine named Mr. Blum to their list of “Nation’s Top 100 Attorneys,” and Texas Monthly magazine named him one of the Top 100 Super Lawyers in Texas. Mr. Blum has been a national estate planning commentator for The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times. He currently serves as Secretary/Treasurer and one of three Board members (along with Emmitt and Pat Smith) of the Pat & Emmitt Smith Charities and is in his 35th year as Treasurer of the Fort Worth Symphony. Mr. Blum also serves on the Texas Cultural Trust Board of Directors to help raise public and legislative awareness of the importance of the arts in Texas. Mr. Blum loves spending time with his wife, two children, and granddaughter and still has time to be an award-winning pastel artist.
