Forest Bathing Hike | Silent Serenity
Location: Activities Desk

Silence is the new connection to wellness. This hike encourages you to practice silence for a 15 minute segment, giving you time to look, listen and feel while “bathing” in the restorative elements of nature. With all of the outside stimulus that our brains receive, this is your time to practice and engage in the discipline and beauty of silence – allowing your brain to restore, rejuvenate and reconnect. Forest Bathing is inspired by the Japanese practice of shinrin-yoku, our forest bathing practice uses the beauty of the Texas Hill Country as a source for a sensory re-connection. Science has shown that mindful time in nature and around the water reduces cortisol, the stress hormone, lowers blood pressure, boosts your mood as well as your body’s immune response. *Water bottles mandatory. Please see Activities Desk for complimentary reusable bottle for your stay.
