Matt Looney is a Michelin-trained freelance chef with over a decade of experience working with some of the best chefs, bakers and caterers in the country. Before launching his private event business, Matt served as Culinary Operations Manager for Resident, a New York-based experiential dining company that partners with luxury real estate properties to create speakeasy-style dining experiences throughout the city. Before leaving the restaurant world, Matt spent time refining his bread-making and patisserie skills at L’Imprimerie Bakery (Food & Wine Top 100 Bakeries in America) and oversaw all handmade pasta production at 232 Bleecker. His impressive resume continues on to include time spent in the prestigious kitchens of Danny Meyer and Thomas Keller, including Untitled, Per Se, Bouchon Bakery, and Ad Hoc, where his “looney-bin” crackers remain a staple on the daily-changing menu to this day.
