Menopause can be a challenging transition. Hot flashes, night sweats, irritability, insomnia, fatigue, weight gain, hair loss, loss of libido, joint pain, and memory loss are only some of the symptoms. How should you manage abnormal bleeding and osteoporosis? The hormonal changes often occur when women are at the prime of their life. Women juggle careers, parenting, and caring for aging parents while volunteering in their communities. How can we manage all those roles while being irritable or tired? How do we stay healthy when we have no energy to exercise and can't control our appetite? You will learn which hormonal and nonhormonal therapies have been proven to be effective.
Dr. Whitney is a board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist in the Department of Women’s Health at UT Austin Dell Medical School.
